ANCV held its General Assembly on March 12

On March 12, 2026, the National Association of Green Roofs (ANCV) held its General Assembly at the Auditorium of Palacete da Quinta da Gruta, bringing together its members to review and discuss key topics related to the association’s activities and strategy. Two important documents for the association were also presented, discussed, and approved: the “ANCV Code of Ethics and Conduct” and the “ANCV in Schools Plan”, reinforcing the association’s commitment to institutional ethics, awareness-raising, and environmental education.

During the presentation of the activity report, the growth and strengthening of ANCV’s network was highlighted, which in 2025 reached a total of 185 members, reflecting the growing relevance of the green infrastructure sector in Portugal.

The European projects in which ANCV is involved were also highlighted, namely the “GREEN ROOFS Technician Training Program”, “GoNaturePositive!”, and “MOVES-IT”, initiatives that reinforce the association’s presence in European cooperation and innovation networks.

Another highlight was the 2nd edition of IGIC PORTO 2025 – International Green Infrastructure Conference, which brought together 140 participants. The event was organized by GREENROOFS® Innovated by the National Association of Green Roofs, in collaboration with the Municipality of Porto, through Águas e Energia do Porto, in partnership with the Serralves Foundation, establishing itself as an important space for technical and scientific discussion on green infrastructure.

In 2025, the importance of holding the 1st ANCV Members’ Meeting was also emphasized. The event was hosted with the support and hospitality of the Municipality of Santarém, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the association and strengthening the connection with its members.

ANCV will remain committed to leading this movement in Portugal, strengthening dialogue with public institutions, promoting training and technical dissemination, supporting business innovation, and representing the interests of the sector within European and international networks.

Together, we will continue transforming our cities into greener, more resilient spaces prepared for the future.
