The Portuguese National Association of Green Roofs (ANCV) participated in LUSOFLORA 2026, which took place on February 26 and 27 at CNEMA – National Exhibition Centre, in Santarém, Portugal.

On February 26, ANCV was represented by Eng. José Ávila e Sousa, Member of the Board of the association, who delivered a presentation entitled “Fighting Climate Change through Green Roofs.”

The session highlighted the role of green infrastructure, particularly green roofs, as nature-based solutions to address the challenges of climate change, contributing to more resilient, sustainable, and future-ready cities.

The presentation had very positive participation from the audience, bringing together companies from the sector, educational and research institutions, students, and researchers, creating an enriching moment of knowledge sharing, discussion, and exchange of experiences on innovative solutions for urban environments.

ANCV’s presence at LUSOFLORA reinforces the association’s commitment to promoting technical dissemination, raising awareness across different sectors of society, and encouraging the implementation of green infrastructure in Portugal. 🌿
