The Portuguese National Association for Green Roofs (ANCV) was represented by Vice President Cristina Calheiros and Executive Coordinator Isabella Costa at the recent consortium meeting of the European project “GREEN ROOFS – Technician Training Program”, held in Nicosia, Cyprus.

During the meeting, Isabella Costa presented the outcomes of ANCV’s activities developed between 2023 and 2024, highlighting:

Training in Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) provided to teachers from consortium partner institutions;

Training and internships in NBS for 30 students from Poland, Romania, and Lithuania, fully organized and coordinated by ANCV.

Following the consortium meeting, the Final Conference of the Project took place, with continued representation from ANCV and CMIA Vila do Conde, through Cristina Calheiros, who also serves as CMIA Coordinator.

During the conference, Cristina Calheiros gave a presentation on the importance of green roofs for urban sustainability, emphasizing the environmental, social, and economic benefits of this nature-based solution in building more resilient cities.
