The Portuguese National Association for Green Roofs (ANCV) welcomed a new group of 11 students from Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija – Higher Education Institution (Lithuania), a partner institution of the European project "GREEN ROOFS – Technician Training Program", under the Erasmus+ program. The students were in Portugal from April 28 to June 20 for training and practical internships focused on the implementation of green roofs and other nature-based solutions (NbS) applied to urban contexts.

For the delivery of training and internships, ANCV collaborated with CMIA Vila do Conde, an institutional member of ANCV, with sessions led by Isabella Costa (ANCV Executive Coordinator), Ana Cristina Rodrigues, and Ana Teixeira Mesquita (ANCV Board Members).

During this period, the students completed a 7-week practical internship, supported by ANCV’s associate company Projar Portugal, which shared its technical knowledge and experience in the green roof sector.

Additionally, ANCV organized a technical visit to Praça de Lisboa, in downtown Porto, with the 11 students from Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija. From the top of the Clérigos Tower, the students observed how this urban space integrates nature-based solutions, highlighting the green roof that contributes to building a more sustainable city.

Through this initiative, ANCV reinforces its commitment to promoting green roofs at both national and international levels.
