TALKS WITH SCIENCE | INTEGRATING NATURE IN URBAN PLANNING 12 JUL 2020
The increasing urbanization of the territory has led, among other issues, to the increasing waterproofing of the soil, fragmentation of the landscape, establishment of infrastructures without replacement of green spaces and excessive consumption of natural resources.
Green Infrastructures are multifunctional systems that act as structural catalysts for the urban landscape, helping to maintain the services provided by ecosystems, generating environmental, economic and social benefits.
In this conversation, some examples of solutions based on nature will be explored, with a focus on green roofs, to promote better quality of life and resilience of cities to climate change.
