Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança
The Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança (CCVB) is a non-profit scientific and technical association, existing since 2004 and open to the public as a cultural and scientific facility since 2007.
The construction of active citizenship based on the promotion of scientific knowledge, with education and the dissemination of science and technology, is the main mission of the Centro Ciência Viva de Bragança. Grouped into two interactive spaces, the Centro Ciência Viva offers, in the Headquarters Building, a space with multidisciplinary exhibition themes related to renewable energy and robotics and 3D printing technology. At Casa da Seda, located in an old mill, you can find an exhibition related to the historical, cultural and ecological heritage of silkworms in the region and the Virtual Nature exhibition, with immersive experiences based on Virtual Reality technology. In both spaces, the interactivity of the exhibitions stands out, prioritizing citizen involvement in issues that are considered extremely important, namely energy sustainability and environmental preservation through a wide range of science education and communication activities.
