BUILT CoLAB is an association created and supported by the National Innovation Agency to foster the transition of the AEC sector and the built environment in the areas of sustainability and digitalisation. Its members include construction companies, SMEs, clusters, and a team engaged in research and development in the fields of sustainability, decarbonisation, life cycle assessment, circular economy, and urban planning, supported by digital tools.

Its objectives include the development of research activities, capacity building, and the promotion of knowledge transfer within the construction sector and the built environment across ecological, economic, and social dimensions. Its mission is to support the technological, regulatory, and cultural changes associated with this transition.

BUILT CoLAB collaborates with stakeholders in the AEC sector and is a member of the Portuguese Construction Technology Platform (PTPC) and the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP), as well as a NEB Partner and a Built4People Innovation Cluster.

BUILT CoLAB’s mission is the sustainable and digital transition of the built environment, with the aim of supporting the development of urban territories, including green and blue infrastructure. Its role as a research and development centre, together with the promotion of events and dissemination activities in this field, underpins its participation in the Portuguese National Association of Green Roofs.
